Foreign exhibitors at the ongoing 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) voiced strong confidence in the Chinese market, highlighting the expo as a crucial platform for global brands.

Taking place in Haikou City, south China's Hainan Province, from April 13 to 18, the expo features the participation of more than 3,400 brands from over 60 countries and regions.

The expo also hosts a series of activities centered on three key themes: "Export to China," highlighting access to its vast market; "Buy in China," showcasing technology-driven consumption; and "Invest in China," promoting global investment opportunities within the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Evgeny Bazhov, a representative of the Russian Export Center in China, emphasized that sellers from his country are looking forward to taking advantage of the new policies that have gone into effect since Hainan launched its island-wide special customs operations in December last year.

"For the Russian Export Center and for Russian exhibitors, this is the first time we come to Hainan. And as far as I know, there is a new policy for the Hainan Free (Trade) Port being implemented since last year. And for Russian manufacturers and Russian companies, we suppose this is one great possibility and chance to enter not only Hainan, but also greater China," he said.

Exhibitors also emphasized the expo's function as a global hub. Italian participants, in particular, highlighted the international atmosphere and commercial opportunities.

"This is a very well-organized fair, and also, you can find people from everywhere. And because I feel (it is) very international... So, I think this is the good place to do (that)," said Maria Cozzolino, an Italian exhibitor.

Jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan provincial government, the sixth edition of the expo continues to solidify the event's reputation as a barometer for global consumer trends and cross-border cooperation.
