To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and president of Vietnam, visited Tsinghua University in Beijing on Tuesday, where he delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of an educational forum.

While addressing the China–Vietnam Higher Education and Sci-Tech Innovation Forum, To Lam gave a heartfelt review of the profound friendship between the Communist parties and the peoples of China and Vietnam. He emphasized that Vietnam regards its relations with China as a top priority, and attaches great importance to talent cultivation and educational cooperation between the two countries.

"Vietnam and China, linked by mountains and rivers, are close neighbors with cultural affinity and similar traditions. The genuine friendship between our peoples and our shared desire for peace, stability, and development have persistently nurtured our bilateral ties," To Lam said.

Recent years have witnessed ever-closer cooperation between China and Vietnam in education and science and technology. From talent training and academic exchanges to frontier research in AI and sustainable development, the partnership has flourished. With tens of thousands of young students studying in each other's country and hundreds of universities collaborating, new vitalities have been injected into the bilateral ties.

"As Vietnamese students studying in China, we are a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between China and Vietnam. I hope we can visit each other more often and make our ties better and better," said a student from Vietnam.

At the invitation of Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese president, To Lam arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a state visit to China through Friday. China is the first country To Lam visits following his recent election as Vietnamese president.

Le président vietnamien Tô Lâm, en visite en Chine, a visité mardi l’université Tsinghua de Beijing et y a prononcé un discours lors d’un forum sur l’enseignement supérieur et l’innovation scientifique et technologique Chine-Vietnam.

Tô Lâm a évoqué la profonde amitié unissant les partis communistes et les peuples des deux pays, soulignant que le Vietnam considérait ses relations avec la Chine comme une priorité absolue et accordait une grande importance à la formation des talents et à la coopération éducative entre les deux nations.

"Le Vietnam et la Chine, reliés par les montagnes et les rivières, sont des voisins proches partageant une affinité culturelle et des traditions similaires. La véritable amitié entre nos peuples et notre désir commun de paix, de stabilité et de développement n’ont cessé d’alimenter nos relations bilatérales", a déclaré Tô Lâm, qui est également le secrétaire général du Parti communiste vietnamien.

Ces dernières années, la coopération entre la Chine et le Vietnam dans les domaines de l’éducation, de la science et de la technologie s’est considérablement renforcée. De la formation des talents aux échanges académiques, en passant par la recherche de pointe sur l’intelligence artificielle et le développement durable, ce partenariat s’est épanoui. Avec des dizaines de milliers de jeunes étudiants séjournant dans chacun des deux pays et des centaines d’universités collaborant, une nouvelle dynamique a été insufflée aux liens bilatéraux.

"En tant qu’étudiants vietnamiens en Chine, nous servons de pont pour les échanges et la coopération entre la Chine et le Vietnam. J’espère que nous pourrons nous rendre visite plus souvent et rendre nos relations toujours meilleures", a déclaré une étudiante vietnamienne.

Sur l'invitation du président chinois Xi Jinping, Tô Lâm est arrivé mardi à Beijing pour une visite d’État en Chine qui se poursuivra jusqu’à vendredi. Il s’agit du premier déplacement à l’étranger de Tô Lâm depuis son élection à la présidence vietnamienne la semaine dernière.

　ベトナムのトー・ラム共産党書記長・国家主席は14日午後、北京の清華大学を訪問、中国-ベトナム高等教育協力・科学技術イノベーション・フォーラムの開幕式に出席し演説を行った。

　トー・ラム氏は演説で、両党・両国間の深い友情を振り返りつつ、対中関係の発展を最優先事項と位置づけるベトナム側の方針を改めて強調。人材育成や教育分野での連携強化を重視する考えを示した。

　数万人規模の青年学生が相手国に留学し、数百校の大学が連携して協力し、両党・両国関係の発展に新たな活力を注ぎ込んでいる。
