"We emphasized and continue to emphasize that the ceasefire in Lebanon is an integral part of any ceasefire and any final agreement to end the war. For very clear reasons, the escalation of the Zionist regime's crimes in Lebanon in recent days can in fact be nothing more than the destruction of any remote possibility that diplomatic processes could lead to some kind of improvement in the situation. And America is responsible for this situation."

The frequent and contradictory changes in the U.S. position have been a major obstacle in the talks between Iran and the U.S., Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said at a press conference in Tehran on Monday.
Regarding the progress of the Iran-U.S. talks, Baghaei noted that the two sides were negotiating in an environment of mutual distrust. The talks began amid suspicion and have continued under that shadow. The mere fact that talks are underway is not in itself a sign of mutual trust between the two sides, he said. If the statements of the U.S. are inconsistent, it will only serve to prolong the negotiation process.
"Basically, one of the problems of negotiations with the current U.S. ruling body is that they have frequent changes in positions and contradictory positions. This issue will certainly disrupt the processes [of talks] and make the path longer," said Baghaei.
Baghaei also said that a ceasefire in Lebanon is an essential condition for any deal aimed at ending the war.
And America is responsible for this situation," said the spokesman.
He said that if the ceasefire deal reached in April between Lebanon and Israel continues to be violated, the consequences will not only affect the region but also the entire world.
Iran and the U.S. reached a temporary ceasefire on April 8. In recent weeks, the two sides have exchanged several proposals outlining conditions for ending the conflict through Pakistani mediation.
