Russia and Ukraine continued to trade strikes on Tuesday, damaging ammunition depots, energy infrastructure facilities and other military targets.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in its latest report that over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched strikes on ammunition and fuel depots as well as transport and energy infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Russian Armed Forces also struck temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas, the ministry said.
Air defense systems shot down nine guided aerial bombs, two rockets fired from a U.S.-made HIMARS rocket system, and 551 fixed-wing drones, the ministry added.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said Ukrainian troops struck multiple military targets of Russian forces, including an ammunition depot, several command posts, and a logistics hub from Monday night to Tuesday morning.
In addition, the Ukrainian side confirmed that its troops had recently struck eight Russian fuel storage tanks and a fuel transshipment base.
