U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that a deal to end the war against Iran could be signed soon, after calling off scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran on Thursday evening.

Trump said the United States had "just made a great settlement of the war with Iran", with an agreement expected to be signed "over the next few days".

He told reporters at the White House that he expected a signing ceremony, attended by Vice President JD Vance, to be held in Europe over the weekend.
Trump said the documents were in "final shape" and that the deal would be completed "pretty quickly".

Trump also said Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, and that once an agreement is signed, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened immediately. He also said that an operation targeting Iran's Kharg Island is no longer under consideration.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump vowed to launch new strikes against Iran for a third consecutive day and threatened the possible takeover of the Kharg Island and other Iranian oil infrastructure, but announced hours later that he had canceled the scheduled attacks.

"Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, canceled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others," Trump said in the post.

However, Trump noted that the U.S. naval blockade will "remain in full force and effect" until a transaction is finalized, adding that time and place of the signing will be announced shortly.

Iran has not yet confirmed whether it has agreed to terms with the United States on a settlement to end the war that the U.S. and Israel launched against Iran on Feb. 28.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump discussed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) being formed with Iran to enter negotiations during a phone call on Thursday evening, read a statement by Netanyahu's office.

According to the statement, while Israel is not a party to the MoU, Netanyahu thanked Trump for his commitment that the final agreement at the end of the negotiations would include removing Iran's enriched material, dismantling its enrichment facilities, limiting its missile production, and ending its support for its regional "terrorist proxies".

The same day, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said that Iran has not yet reached a final position or a conclusive decision on the agreement, adding that what is being circulated about the deal remains speculative.

Baghaei noted that Qatar and Pakistan are playing an active mediating role. He said that a substantial portion of the final draft had already been finalized, but the U.S. side continued to shift its positions throughout the negotiations.

The spokesman said Iran has demonstrated that it will not make any concessions on what it considers "red lines".

He added the Strait of Hormuz remains closed at present due to the "illegal acts" committed by the United States.

In a statement released on Thursday, Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics emphasized that the Iranian armed forces possess greater readiness, capability, and defensive power than ever before, warning that any miscalculation or aggression against the country's security and territorial integrity will be met with a decisive, regrettable response "far beyond the enemy's flawed imagination".

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iran's main military command, on Thursday accused the United States of being the root cause of the unrest in the Middle East due to the obvious contradiction between its words and deeds.

The Iranian military warned that the U.S. will face a harsher response than ever before if it launches another round of strikes on Iran.

Le président américain Donald Trump a déclaré jeudi qu’un accord mettant fin à la guerre contre l’Iran pourrait être signé prochainement, après avoir annulé dans la soirée les frappes aériennes prévues contre le pays.

M. Trump a affirmé que les États-Unis venaient de conclure un "excellent accord" avec l’Iran, et qu’un texte devrait être signé "dans les prochains jours".

Il a indiqué aux journalistes à la Maison-Blanche qu’une cérémonie de signature, en présence du vice-président J. D. Vance, devrait se tenir en Europe ce week-end.

M. Trump a précisé que les documents étaient "finalisés" et que l’accord serait conclu "très rapidement".

Il a également déclaré que l’Iran ne posséderait pas d’armes nucléaires et qu’une fois l’accord signé, le détroit d’Ormuz serait immédiatement rouvert. Il a par ailleurs affirmé qu’une opération visant l’île iranienne de Kharg n’était plus envisagée.

Jeudi matin, M. Trump avait promis de lancer de nouvelles frappes contre l’Iran pour le troisième jour consécutif et avait menacé de s’emparer de l’île de Kharg et d’autres infrastructures pétrolières iraniennes. Cependant, quelques heures plus tard, il a annoncé l’annulation des attaques prévues.

"À la suite des discussions avec la République islamique d’Iran, qui ont atteint le plus haut niveau de l’État iranien et ont été approuvées, j’ai, en ma qualité de président des États-Unis d’Amérique, annulé les frappes aériennes prévues contre l’Iran ce soir", a écrit M. Trump sur Truth Social.

"Les discussions et les points finaux ont été approuvés, tant dans leur principe que dans leurs détails, par toutes les parties concernées, notamment les États-Unis, Israël, l’Arabie saoudite, les Émirats arabes unis, le Qatar, la Turquie, le Pakistan, Bahreïn, le Koweït, la Jordanie, l’Égypte et d’autres", a-t-il précisé.

M. Trump a toutefois indiqué que le blocus naval américain resterait "pleinement en vigueur" jusqu’à la conclusion d’un accord, ajoutant que la date et le lieu de la signature seraient annoncés prochainement.

L’Iran n’a pas encore confirmé avoir conclu un accord avec les États-Unis en vue de mettre fin à la guerre lancée par les États-Unis et Israël contre l’Iran le 28 février.

Le Premier ministre israélien, Benjamin Netanyahu, et Donald Trump ont discuté du projet de mémorandum d’entente avec l’Iran en vue d’entamer des négociations, lors d’un entretien téléphonique jeudi soir, selon un communiqué du bureau de M. Netanyahu.

D’après ce communiqué, bien qu’Israël ne soit pas signataire du mémorandum, M. Netanyahu a remercié M. Trump pour son engagement à ce que l’accord final, à l’issue des négociations, comprenne le retrait des matières enrichies iraniennes, le démantèlement des installations d’enrichissement, la limitation de la production de missiles et la fin du soutien apporté par l’Iran à ses groupes terroristes régionaux.

Le même jour, le porte-parole du ministère iranien des Affaires étrangères, Esmaeil Baghaei, a déclaré que l’Iran n’avait pas encore adopté de position définitive ni pris de décision concluante concernant l’accord, ajoutant que les informations circulant à son sujet restaient du domaine de la spéculation.

M. Baghaei a noté que le Qatar et le Pakistan jouaient un rôle actif de médiation. Il a indiqué qu’une part importante du projet final avait déjà été arrêtée, mais que les États-Unis continuaient de modifier leurs positions tout au long des négociations.

Le porte-parole a déclaré que l’Iran avait démontré qu’il ne ferait aucune concession sur ce qu’il considère comme ses "lignes rouges".

Il a ajouté que le détroit d’Ormuz restait fermé à l’heure actuelle en raison des "actes illégaux" commis par les États-Unis.

Dans un communiqué publié jeudi, le ministère iranien de la Défense et de la Logistique des forces armées a souligné que les forces armées iraniennes disposaient d’un niveau de préparation, de capacités et de puissance défensive sans précédent, avertissant que toute erreur d’appréciation ou agression contre la sécurité et l’intégrité territoriale du pays se heurterait à une riposte décisive et regrettable, "bien au-delà de l’imagination défaillante de l’ennemi".

Le quartier général central Khatam al Anbiya, principal commandement militaire iranien, a accusé jeudi les États-Unis d’être à l’origine des troubles au Moyen Orient, en raison de la contradiction flagrante entre leurs paroles et leurs actes.

L’armée iranienne a averti que les États-Unis s’exposeraient à une riposte plus sévère que jamais s’ils lançaient une nouvelle série de frappes contre l’Iran.

Президент США Дональд Трамп 11 июня заявил, что соглашение о прекращении войны с Ираном может быть подписано в ближайшее время.

По его словам, Соединенные Штаты "только что достигли отличного урегулирования войны с Ираном", и ожидается, что церемония подписания соглашения, на которой будет присутствовать вице-президент Джей Ди Вэнс, состоится в ближайшие выходные в Европе.

Глава Белого дома заявил, что, насколько ему известно, Верховный лидер Ирана согласился с соглашением, и все стороны в Иране его одобрили.

Дональд Трамп также заявил, что Иран не будет обладать ядерным оружием, и что после подписания соглашения Ормузский пролив будет немедленно открыт.

В тот же день Дональд Трамп отменил запланированные на вечер 11 июня удары и бомбардировки по Ирану, сославшись на прогресс в продолжающихся переговорах.

"Исходя из того факта, что обсуждения с Исламской Республикой Иран были доведены до высшего уровня иранского руководства и одобрены, я как президент Соединенных Штатов Америки отменил запланированные на сегодняшний вечер удары и бомбардировки по Ирану", – написал он в социальной сети Truth Social.

"Обсуждения и заключительные пункты были как концептуально, так и в мельчайших деталях одобрены всеми вовлеченными сторонами, включая Соединенные Штаты, Израиль, Саудовскую Аравию, ОАЭ, Катар, Турцию, Пакистан, Бахрейн, Кувейт, Иорданию, Египет и другие страны", – отметил американский президент.

При этом он заявил, что морская блокада США "останется в полной силе и действии" до тех пор, пока сделка не будет завершена.

Вечером 11 июня премьер-министр Израиля Биньямин Нетаньяху и Дональд Трамп провели телефонный разговор, в ходе которого Биньямин Нетаньяху поблагодарил Дональда Трампа за его обещание, что окончательное соглашение по итогам переговоров будет включать вывоз обогащенного урана из Ирана, демонтаж его обогатительных мощностей, ограничение производства ракет и прекращение поддержки его региональных "террористических прокси".

Тем временем официальный представитель МИД Ирана Эсмаил Багаи заявил в тот же день, что Иран еще не пришел к окончательному заключению относительно соглашения с Соединенными Штатами о прекращении войны.

Эсмаил Багаи сделал это заявление в интервью государственному телеканалу IRIB, комментируя утверждения и споры о скором заключении мирного соглашения между Ираном и США.

Вечером 11 июня Министерство обороны Ирана заявило, что любой просчет или атака на национальную безопасность и территориальную целостность Ирана встретят решительный отпор, последствия которого "превзойдут все ожидания врага".
