At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing will pay a state visit to China from June 15 to 19, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.

"At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing will pay a state visit to China from June 15 to 19. China and Myanmar are traditional friends and neighbors, and they belong to a community with a shared future, Lin said.

He said over the 76 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Myanmar have upheld the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence they have jointly advocated, shared weal and woe, looked out for each other and embraced solidarity and coordination, with the bilateral relationship having made remarkable progress.
