Russia said on Monday that its forces had intercepted and destroyed 123 Ukrainian drones in multiple regions including Moscow Oblast and Belgorod Oblast, while Ukraine, on the same day, said that it had shot down or suppressed 632 Russian targets.
Russia's defense ministry said in its latest report that in response to the Ukrainian strikes, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack using long-range precision-guided weapons and attack drones, targeting military-industrial facilities and military airfields in Ukraine's Kiev, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk.
Also on Monday, Ukraine's air force reported that Russia launched massive attacks in multiple regions across Ukraine between 18:00 on Sunday and early on Monday.
Ukraine detected 681 aerial weapons, including six Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, dozens of other missiles, and 611 drones, with Ukrainian forces shooting down or electronically suppressing 632 targets, the air force said.
Meanwhile, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the Russian strikes had so far killed five people and injured more than 30 others in the Ukrainian capital.
