President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with China in the infrastructure sector during his visit to the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) in Beijing on Wednesday.

At the CRCC's exhibition hall, Min Aung Hlaing and his delegation observed a simulated cockpit of China's high-speed trains, a model of China's largest shield machine, and a model of the Lusail Stadium in Qatar built with the participation of Chinese companies, among other exhibits.

The president paid special attention to exhibits related to projects in Myanmar.

The CRCC entered the Myanmar market in the 1980s and has since participated in a range of local infrastructure projects. The Yangon-Thanlyin Bridge, completed in 1993, is affectionately known by the people of Myanmar as the "China-Myanmar Friendship Bridge", while the Dala Bridge, which opened this year, stands as a flagship project in Myanmar's modern bridge construction.

Noting that he gained insight into China's experience in railway construction through this visit, Min Aung Hlaing welcomed Chinese companies to visit Myanmar and expressed his hope for further cooperation with China in areas such as infrastructure.
