The annual freight volume through the Alashankou Railway Port, a major rail gateway in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region also known as the Alataw Pass, had exceeded 10 million tonnes by Monday, reaching the mark 41 days earlier than in 2025.

To date, 128 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train routes have been operating through the Alashankou Railway Port, reaching 21 other countries including Germany and Poland.

The cargo includes more than 200 types of goods, such as auto parts, machinery and equipment, electronic products, and daily necessities, and the port's cross-border transportation reach continues to expand.
