The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday evening that, according to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the mine clearance work in the Strait of Hormuz will be carried out by Iran alone, and Iran will not cooperate with any other country on this matter.

French President Emmanuel Macron said earlier on Monday that France and Oman have agreed to work jointly with partners to clear mines in the Strait of Hormuz to secure maritime routes.

Macron made the remarks on social media platform X after holding talks with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who is on his first official visit to France.

The Iranian statement said that the current regional situation is sensitive and complex, and that Iran strongly advised France not to further complicate the situation with "provocative actions".

The announcements of the two sides came amid heightened maritime security concerns through the Strait of Hormuz.

Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz had gradually resumed after the United States and Iran reached a MoU, prompting the U.S.-led Joint Maritime Information Center on June 18 to lower the maritime threat level in nearby waters to moderate.

However, a container ship and an oil tanker were attacked in nearby waters on Thursday and Saturday last week, respectively.

The U.S. Central Command said last Friday that U.S. forces had struck Iranian targets in response to an attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz a day earlier.

Le ministère iranien des Affaires étrangères a déclaré dans un communiqué publié lundi soir que, conformément au protocole d'accord d'Islamabad, les opérations de déminage dans le détroit d'Ormuz seraient menées par l'Iran seul, et que l'Iran ne coopérerait avec aucun autre pays sur cette question.

Le président français Emmanuel Macron avait déclaré plus tôt lundi que la France et Oman étaient convenus de travailler conjointement avec des partenaires au déminage du détroit d'Ormuz afin de sécuriser les routes maritimes.

M. Macron a fait ces remarques sur la plateforme de réseaux sociaux X après s'être entretenu avec le sultan omanais Haitham ben Tarik, qui effectue sa première visite officielle en France.

Le communiqué iranien indique que la situation régionale actuelle était "sensible et complexe", et que l'Iran a vivement conseillé à la France de ne pas compliquer davantage la situation par des "actions provocatrices".

Le trafic maritime dans le détroit d'Ormuz avait progressivement repris après la conclusion d'un protocole d'accord entre les États-Unis et l'Iran, ce qui avait conduit le Centre conjoint d'information maritime (JMIC) à abaisser le 18 juin le niveau de menace maritime dans les eaux voisines à "modéré".

أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية في بيان لها مساء الاثنين/ 29 يونيو الجاري، أن إيران ستتولى وحدها أعمال إزالة الألغام في مضيق هرمز، ولن تتعاون مع أي دولة أخرى في هذا الشأن.

وفي وقت سابق من يوم الاثنين، صرّح الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون بأن فرنسا وسلطنة عُمان اتفقتا على العمل المشترك مع شركاء آخرين لإزالة الألغام في مضيق هرمز لتأمين الممرات البحرية.

وجاءت تصريحات ماكرون عبر منصة التواصل الاجتماعي "إكس" عقب محادثات أجراها مع سلطان عُمان هيثم بن طارق، الذي يقوم بأول زيارة رسمية له إلى فرنسا.

وأفاد البيان الإيراني بأن الوضع الإقليمي الراهن حساس ومعقد، وأن إيران نصحت فرنسا بشدة بعدم زيادة تعقيد الوضع بأعمال استفزازية.

جاءت تصريحات الجانبين وسط تزايد المخاوف الأمنية البحرية في مضيق هرمز.

وقد استؤنفت حركة الملاحة في مضيق هرمز تدريجياً بعد توقيع الولايات المتحدة وإيران مذكرة التفاهم، ما دفع مركز المعلومات المشترك التابع للبحرية الأمريكية في 18 يونيو إلى خفض مستوى التهديد في المياه المجاورة إلى مستوى متوسط.

ومع ذلك، تعرضت سفينة حاويات وناقلة نفط لهجوم في المياه المجاورة يومي الخميس والسبت من الأسبوع الماضي على التوالي.

وأعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية يوم الجمعة الماضي أن القوات الأمريكية قصفت أهدافاً إيرانية رداً على هجوم استهدف سفينة تجارية قرب مضيق هرمز في اليوم السابق.
