Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that over the past 65 years, China-DPRK friendship has stood the test of shifting international landscapes, and bilateral relations have kept pace with the times and grown stronger.
Noting that the top leaders of both parties and countries, with far-sighted vision and a commitment to building on past achievements, have jointly steered China-DPRK relations into a new historical era, Cai said China stands ready to work with the DPRK to take the important consensus reached by the two leaders as the fundamental guideline and strategic orientation, carry forward the traditional friendship, and strive to elevate the socialist causes and traditional friendly cooperative relations of the two countries to new heights.
Pak, who is leading a party and government delegation to China for an official visit, said that over the past 65 years, the DPRK and China have acted in the spirit of the treaty, supporting each other and cooperating closely in the endeavor to safeguard and advance their shared socialist cause.
The DPRK is willing to work with China to deepen cooperation across all sectors, and write a new chapter in DPRK-China friendly cooperative relations, said Pak, who is also a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.
Before the reception, Cai held a brief meeting with Pak.
