The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Monday that American forces had struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran on Sunday, using one-way attack surface drones for the first time.

CENTCOM released video footage that it said showed three unmanned "Corsair" surface drones striking the port at the Iranian naval base in Bandar Abbas.

According to CENTCOM, this marks the first time American forces have employed such drones in an active combat operation.
