The Chinese Olympic Committee on Monday officially released the victory ceremony uniforms that China's athletes will wear on the podium at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi Nagoya, Japan.

The unveiling ceremony took place at the Beijing National Olympic Sports Center, welcoming a host of active and retired athletes from the country to take part.

The "Shining Stars" design on the uniform features a blue palette and linear star patterns, blending Eastern elegance with modern sportswear. According to the committee, the pattern represents the moments of brilliance present in every performance at the games.

The primary color of the award ceremony jacket is "moonlight blue," drawn from the deep sea and vast sky, conveying both the composed bearing of a major nation and a sense of future-forward technology.

The overall design carries a heartfelt wish that athletes will shine brightly when their skills and endurance are put to the test.

That message of hope has resonated with seasoned Chinese competitors, who noted that the ceremony also marked the 36th anniversary of China hosting its first Asian Games, and explained the progress made in sportswear design over the years.

"Maybe 36 years ago it was just a piece of clothing, just a piece of sportswear. But nowadays, from the fabric design, the fabric itself, the design, including this kind of specialization, they are all very important," said Li Xiaoshuang, a former Chinese national gymnastics team athlete.
