China is open to enhancing dialogue and communication with the U.S. law enforcement authorities, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Thursday.
Lin made the remarks after U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel said he hoped to cooperate with China and Russia in combating transnational crimes, and that the law enforcement partnership model the FBI is pursuing could be applied to "almost anyone."
"We stand ready to engage in law enforcement cooperation with the U.S. in the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit," Lin added.
