Industrial cameras have captured hurricane-force winds and torrential rains lashing a power plant in Yuhuan City, east China's Zhejiang Province after Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in the region on Sunday.

Dolphin, the 13th typhoon of 2026, made landfall at Yuhuan at around 17:30 on Sunday, then made its second landfall at Yueqing City in Zhejiang at around 18:40, according to China's National Meteorological Center.

The footage relayed from the Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant showed roadside trees bending and swaying in violent gusts, which drove sheets of rain to lash the cameras, repeatedly obscuring lenses with water mists.

Meanwhile, visibility in the plant continued to decline as dense curtains of downpour swept across the area.

Despite the brutal conditions, all generating units of the power plant have maintained stable operations, according to the latest update from the facility.

The plant has enhanced its duty roster, with operators monitoring parameters of generating units around the clock to ensure safe operations and stable power supply amid the extreme weather.
