China Coast Guard (CCG) recently held round-the-clock ship landing exercises for ship-borne helicopters in the East China Sea, using realistic scenarios to sharpen ship-aircraft coordination under varying weather and sea conditions.
During daylight, maintenance crews and flight mechanics conducted pre-flight checks alongside pilots to ensure safe takeoff. After dark, crews used deck lighting to guide helicopters onto the ship, working closely with the vessel's command center to time landings amid shifting winds and vessel movement.
