Chinese President Xi Jinping is about to attend a document signing ceremony with visiting President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Roy-Gilchrist Noboa Azin at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.

At Xi's invitation, Noboa is on an eight-day state visit to China starting Sunday. This is his first trip to China as president.

Xi also held talks with Noboa on bilateral ties and other issues of common concern.
