China State Shipbuilding Corporation’s Jiangnan Shipyard delivered an independently designed and built 99,000-cubic-meter ultra-large ethane-ethylene carrier on Tuesday, with the overall technical indicators achieving world-leading levels, the corporation said.
The 230-meter-long carrier is designed to transport a range of liquefied industrial and energy gases, including ethane, ethylene and liquefied petroleum gas.
The vessel features low fuel consumption and maintenance costs with long-range transport capabilities, making it an economical and environmentally friendly ship, the corporation said.
