The General Administration of Customs on Tuesday rolled out a set of measures to facilitate customs clearance of exhibits for the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held in Shanghai in November.

The documentation spelling out the facilitation measures clarifies operational standards across the entire chain from the declaration of exhibits upon border entry to inspection, supervision and post-exhibition disposal while optimizing clearance procedures and streamlining approval processes.

It also includes support policies such as tax incentives for exhibits, guarantee models, and inspection and quarantine conveniences to reduce the institutional costs for exhibitors.

The set of measures aims to help high-quality products from around the world enter China's vast market more quickly and efficiently.

The CIIE is the world's first national-level expo dedicated to imports. Since its debut in 2018, the CIIE has become a showcase of China's new development paradigm, a platform for high-standard opening-up, and a public good for the whole world.
