A report has been received of two vessels involved in an incident 4 nautical miles west of Khasab, Oman, near the Strait of Hormuz, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Thursday.

The master of a vessel reported seeing four unknown projectiles hit two unknown vessels 6 nautical miles north of his position, causing a fire on one vessel, and the status of the second vessel was unsure, according to the UKMTO.

Un rapport fait état de deux navires impliqués dans un incident survenu jeudi à 4 milles marins à l’ouest de Khasab, à Oman, près du détroit d’Ormuz, a indiqué le Centre des opérations commerciales maritimes du Royaume-Uni (UKMTO).

Selon l’UKMTO, le commandant d’un navire a rapporté avoir vu quatre projectiles non identifiés atteindre deux bâtiments inconnus situés à 6 milles marins au nord de sa position, provoquant un incendie à bord de l’un d’eux. L'état du second navire demeurait indéterminé.

أفادت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية يوم الخميس/ 10 سبتمبر بأنها تلقّت بلاغا عن تعرض سفينتين لحادث على بعد 4 أميال بحرية غرب خصب بسلطنة عُمان، بالقرب من مضيق هرمز.

وذكرت الهيئة أن ربان سفينة أبلغ عن رؤية أربعة مقذوفات مجهولة تصيب سفينتين مجهولتين على بعد 6 أميال بحرية شمال موقعه، مما أدى إلى نشوب حريق في إحدى السفينتين، في حين لم تتضح حالة السفينة الأخرى.
