The Russian defense ministry said Thursday that its forces shot down 1,030 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Russian forces destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned vessels, and took control of two more settlements in Kharkiv, according to the ministry.

Ukraine said Friday that Russian forces carried out another air strike on Kiev on the day, causing damage to buildings.
