China respects the U.S. choice on the use of the term "super intelligence," a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Saturday.

The spokesperson made the comments in response to the U.S. readout on the outcomes of Chinese President Xi Jinping's just-concluded state visit, which used the term "super intelligence" rather than "artificial intelligence."

"The two presidents had in-depth discussion on AI during this visit. On what term to use for artificial intelligence, China attaches importance to the position of the U.S. side and respects their choice of the term. The advancement of artificial intelligence is an ongoing process. Parties can have more communication and in-depth exchange of views to seek consensus in light of how the process may evolve," said the spokesperson.

Xi paid a state visit to the United States from Wednesday to Friday, during which he had an in-depth exchange of views with U.S. President Donald Trump on bilateral relations as well as major international and regional issues.

La Chine respecte le choix des États-Unis d'utiliser le terme "super intelligence", a déclaré samedi un porte-parole du ministère chinois des Affaires étrangères. Le porte-parole a fait ces remarques en réponse au compte rendu américain sur les résultats de la visite d'État du président chinois Xi Jinping qui vient de s'achever, lequel a utilisé le terme "super intelligence" plutôt que celui d'"intelligence artificielle".

"Les deux présidents ont eu des discussions approfondies sur l'intelligence artificielle lors de cette visite. En ce qui concerne le terme à utiliser pour désigner l'intelligence artificielle, la Chine attache de l'importance à la position de la partie américaine et respecte leur choix de terminologie. Le progrès de l'intelligence artificielle est un processus en cours. Les parties peuvent multiplier les communications et les échanges de points de vue approfondis afin de rechercher un consensus au fur et à mesure de l'évolution de ce processus", a déclaré le porte-parole.

M. Xi a effectué une visite d'État aux États-Unis de mercredi à vendredi, au cours de laquelle il a eu un échange de vues approfondi avec le président américain Donald Trump sur les relations bilatérales ainsi que sur les principales questions internationales et régionales.

Китай уважает формулировку США по искусственному интеллекту (ИИ), заявил 26 сентября официальный представитель МИД КНР.

Ранее президент США Дональд Трамп предложил вместо термина "искусственный интеллект" использовать выражение "суперинтеллект".

"В ходе визита лидеры двух стран провели углубленное обсуждение вопросов, связанных с искусственным интеллектом. Что касается формулировки по искусственному интеллекту, то Китай серьезно принимает во внимание позицию американской стороны и уважает ее формулировку. Технология ИИ пока находится на стадии развития, и стороны вполне могут с учетом новейшей ситуации укреплять обмены, проводить углубленные обсуждения и искать точки соприкосновения", – констатировал китайский дипломат.

El portavoz hizo esta declaración en respuesta al comunicado estadounidense sobre los resultados de la visita de Estado recién concluida del presidente chino, Xi Jinping, en el que se utilizó el término "superinteligencia" en lugar de "inteligencia artificial".

"Durante esta visita, ambos presidentes mantuvieron conversaciones profundas sobre la IA. En cuanto a la terminología para referirse a la inteligencia artificial, China concede importancia a la posición de la parte estadounidense y respeta su elección del término. China respektiere die Entscheidung der USA für die Verwendung des Begriffs „Superintelligenz“. Dies hat ein Sprecher des chinesischen Außenministeriums am Samstag erklärt.

Damit reagierte der Sprecher auf die Wortwahl der US-Regierung bei der Vorstellung der Ergebnisse des gerade zu Ende gegangenen Staatsbesuchs des chinesischen Präsidenten Xi Jinping in den USA. Dabei wurde statt „Künstliche Intelligenz“ der Begriff „Superintelligenz“ verwendet.

„Die beiden Präsidenten haben während dieses Besuchs eingehende Gespräche über KI geführt. Was die Formulierung der Künstlichen Intelligenz betrifft, schätzt China die Position der US-Seite und respektiert deren Wortwahl. Die Weiterentwicklung der Künstlichen Intelligenz ist ein fortlaufender Prozess. Die Parteien können im Lichte der aktuellsten Entwicklung den Dialog intensivieren und den Meinungsaustausch vertiefen, um einen Konsens zu finden“, sagte der Sprecher.

Xi hatte den Vereinigten Staaten von Mittwoch bis Freitag einen Staatsbesuch abgestattet. Dabei tauschte er sich intensiv mit US-Präsident Donald Trump über die bilateralen Beziehungen sowie über wichtige internationale und regionale Themen aus.
