China's top political advisor Wang Huning met with Chairman of Vietnam's National Assembly Tran Thanh Man in Beijing on Sunday.

At the meeting, Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said that Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese President, has maintained close strategic communication with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Vietnamese President, in recent years, guiding the China-Vietnam ties to advance amid changes unseen in a century.

Under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, and in line with the overarching goals characterized by "six mores" (stronger political mutual trust, more substantial security cooperation, deeper practical cooperation, more solid popular foundation, closer coordination and collaboration on multilateral issues and better management and resolution of differences), China stands ready to work together with Vietnam to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields with high quality and further the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future, said Wang.

Wang said the CPPCC National Committee is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Vietnamese side and contribute to each other's modernization efforts.

For his part, Tran Thanh Man said that under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, the relations between Vietnam and China have been continuously deepened, with constantly consolidated political foundation, material foundation and the foundation of public support. He congratulated China on its significant achievements, noting that Vietnam firmly adheres to the one-China principle.

Tran Thanh Man said the National Assembly of Vietnam is ready to strengthen exchanges with the Chinese side, enhance friendly interactions among various social sectors, and boost the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
