Russia said Monday its forces have captured a settlement in Zaporizhzhia region, while Ukraine reported it repelled Russian attacks from several directions.
In a daily report, the Russian Defense Ministry said that its troops struck electricity facilities, ports and ships that supported Ukraine's logistics centers and the operation of its military industrial enterprises.
It also said that the Russian forces have taken over a settlement in Zaporizhzhia region.
Also on Monday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 177 battles that took place along the frontlines over the past day, and that Ukraine repelled Russian attacks on multiple fronts.
It claimed that the Ukrainian air, missile and artillery forces hit Russian troop assembly areas, artillery systems, and drone control points.
The resumption of trilateral negotiations on the Ukraine conflict does not entail any restrictions on military operations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a press briefing Monday.
Russian forces are continuing their special military operation and carrying out massive, successive strikes on Ukraine's military-industrial complex and military and related targets, Peskov said.
On the prospects for a peaceful settlement, Peskov said that publicly discussing the details of a potential agreement could undermine the peace process.
A ceasefire mechanism in the town of Oleshky could serve as a precedent for similar arrangements in other parts of the conflict zone. Such an arrangement was entirely possible for humanitarian reasons, he said.
On Friday, Peskov said trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States were scheduled for the first half of November in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, to focus on security arrangements for both countries following a peace settlement.
