Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he was "deeply moved" in receiving China's Friendship Medal during a ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, emphasizing the close ties and mutual respect between Serbia and China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping awarded Vucic the Friendship Medal of the People's Republic of China on Monday. As solemn music played and the golden doors slowly opened, Xi and Vucic entered the hall together, followed by Xi's wife Peng Liyuan and Vucic's wife Tamara Vucic.

Applauding guests rose to their feet in respect. A Guard of Honor escorted the Friendship Medal into the hall, and amid the ceremony, Xi formally presented the medal to Vucic.

Representatives from both countries attended the event, including faculty members and students from leading Beijing universities.

"Serbians and Chinese people are very similar in many ways. We both value family, friendship and loyalty. Honesty and sincerity mean a lot in friendship," said Peng Yuchao, a teacher from the Beijing Foreign Studies University and a recent recipient of Serbia's Gold Medal for Merit.

"Receiving such an honor is incredible. I was very moved. I find it is very easy to call China home, to fit in here. The Friendship Medal is China's highest state honor for foreigners, reserved for those who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive, promoting exchange and cooperation between China and the rest of the world, and safeguarding world peace.

At the invitation of Xi, Vucic is on a state visit to China from Sunday to Thursday, marking his first state visit to China and his ninth trip to the country overall.

Le président serbe Aleksandar Vucic s'est dit "profondément ému" par la remise de la médaille de l'Amitié de la Chine, lors d'une cérémonie au Grand Palais du peuple à Beijing, soulignant les liens étroits et le respect mutuel qui unissent la Serbie et la Chine.

Le président chinois Xi Jinping a remis lundi à M. Vucic la médaille de l'Amitié de la République populaire de Chine. Au son d'une musique solennelle, les portes dorées se sont lentement ouvertes, puis MM. Xi et Vucic sont entrés ensemble dans la salle, suivis de l'épouse de M. Xi, Peng Liyuan, et de l'épouse de M. Vucic, Tamara Vucic.

Des gardes d'honneur ont escorté la médaille de l'Amitié dans la salle, puis M. Xi l'a officiellement remise à M. Vucic.

Des représentants des deux pays ont assisté à l'événement, dont des enseignants et des étudiants des universités de Beijing.

La médaille de l'Amitié est la plus haute distinction d'État chinoise décernée à des étrangers. Elle est réservée aux personnes ayant apporté des contributions remarquables à la modernisation de la Chine, à la promotion des échanges et de la coopération entre la Chine et le monde ainsi qu'à la sauvegarde de la paix mondiale.

Президент Сербии Александр Вучич заявил, что был взволнован получением ордена Дружбы Китайской Народной Республики, который ему лично вручил 25 мая председатель КНР Си Цзиньпин, и особо отметил тесные связи и взаимоуважение между Сербией и Китаем.

Церемония вручения ордена Дружбы КНР Александру Вучичу состоялась в Доме народных собраний в Пекине. В этот день под звуки величественной музыки медленно распахнулись золотые двери и в торжественный зал вошли главы двух государств, а за ними последовали их супруги – Пэн Лиюань и Тамара Вучич.

Все присутствующие гости встретили их бурными аплодисментами.

Почетный караул сопроводил орден Дружбы в зал, и под торжественную музыку Си Цзиньпин официально вручил медаль Александру Вучичу.

"Сербы и китайцы во многом похожи. Мы все ценим семью, дружбу и верность. Честность и искренность очень много значат в дружбе", – сказал Пэн Юйчао, преподаватель Пекинского университета иностранных языков и недавний лауреат Золотой медали Сербии "За заслуги".

Согласно закону КНР, орденом Дружбы КНР награждаются иностранные граждане, внесшие особый вклад в социалистическую модернизацию Китая, развитие связей и сотрудничества КНР с зарубежными странами, а также поддержание мира во всем мире.

Der serbische Präsident Aleksandar Vučić hat erklärt, er sei „zutiefst bewegt“ gewesen, als er bei einer Zeremonie in der Großen Halle des Volkes in Beijing die Freundschaftsmedaille der Volksrepublik China entgegengenomen habe. Zudem hob er die engen Beziehungen und den gegenseitigen Respekt zwischen Serbien und China hervor.

Der chinesische Präsident Xi Jinping hatte am Montag dem serbischen Präsidenten die Freundschaftsmedaille verliehen. Während feierliche Musik erklang und sich die goldenen Türen langsam öffneten, betraten Xi und Vučić gemeinsam den Saal, gefolgt von Xis Ehefrau Peng Liyuan und Vučićs Ehefrau Tamara.

Die Gäste erhoben sich unter Applaus und erwiesen den beiden Staatsoberhäuptern ihren Respekt.

Bei der Zeremonie anwesend waren auch Vertreter beider Länder, darunter Dozenten und Studenten führender Universitäten in Beijing.

„Die Serben sind uns Chinesen eigentlich sehr ähnlich. Beide legen großen Wert auf Familie, Freundschaft und Verbundenheit. Die Freundschaftsmedaille ist Chinas höchste staatliche Auszeichnung für Ausländer.
