"Every day we sit in the morning, and suddenly they targeted us, and the strike was very strong. They completely destroyed the neighborhood. Now there is no electricity, no water, nothing. What can we say? This is a lot of damage. My apartment was destroyed, the whole building was destroyed. This is a residential neighborhood, there are no people in it, and all the houses are empty. They targeted a residential neighborhood, without any warning or reason."

Half of them were thrown into the air from the shock of the explosion and then fell on the archaeological area. All the houses around us were damaged, even our house was completely damaged."

We hope that things will return to how they were and even better. I live in Al-Ruz residential complex, but now I can no longer go out, so I stay in the Al-Malhama neighborhood here, and I sleep in the shop or in the car."

Intense Israeli airstrikes and blanket evacuation orders have largely transformed Lebanon's ancient coastal city of Tyre into a deserted landscape. With widespread structural damage and large-scale displacement, the city is now almost completely devoid of normal life.

Lebanon's Health Ministry said on Saturday that the cumulative death toll from Israeli airtrikes since March 2 has risen to 3,756, with 11,632 others wounded.

They targeted a residential neighborhood, without any warning or reason," said Mohammed Boursheli, a local resident.

Tyre is the closest city to the Lebanese-Israeli border, yet the city has never witnessed such devastation in its modern history.

The city's streets are deserted due to the massive destruction, and not even the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the city have been spared from the violent attacks.

"The strike was two missiles, and it was a very strong strike. It destroyed a house with eight rooms, two halls, and two bathrooms. There were electricity generators here. Half of them were thrown into the air from the shock of the explosion and then fell on the archaeological area. All the houses around us were damaged, even our house was completely damaged." said Mohammad Mahmoud Nassar, another local resident.

Most of the city's residents have fled north due to the warnings and indiscriminate shelling, but some insisted on staying in the city where they have lived their entire lives.

"The shops are closed. The ones that are open are run by local residents.. As for those who rented the shops from outside the area, they cannot come because business is very slow. We hope that things will return to how they were and even better. I live in Al-Ruz residential complex, but now I can no longer go out, so I stay in the Al-Malhama neighborhood here, and I sleep in the shop or in the car," said Mahmoud Qaraouni, a butcher in the old city district of Tyre.
