China is ready to work together with Myanmar to carry forward the pauk-phaw (fraternal) friendship and deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday while holding talks with Myanmar's President Min Aung Hlaing in Beijing.
Hailing Min Aung Hlaing's long-term friendship with China, Xi expressed his willingness to join efforts with the president of Myanmar to produce more outcomes in building China-Myanmar community with a shared future.
"Mr. President has long maintained friendly relations with China. Last year, we met twice and had in-depth exchanges of views on issues of strategic and fundamental importance concerning China-Myanmar relations. Min Aung Hlaing is paying a state visit to China from June 15 to 19.
