"Cooperation between countries should be conducive to enhancing mutual understanding and trust among regional countries, and to safeguarding regional peace and stability. It should not target any third party or harm the interests of any third party, still less should it be used as a pretext to form exclusive "small circles" or stoke confrontation and division. Maintaining the stability and security of global industrial and supply chains is the shared responsibility of all countries. All parties should uphold an open and cooperative mindset and play a constructive role to that end."

Cooperation between countries should not target any third party or harm the interests of any third party, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
Guo made the remarks in response to a media query about India and Japan agreeing to strengthen cooperation on critical minerals.
