Maritime trade between Iran and Qatar has resumed after a nearly five-month hiatus, Iranian state media reported on Sunday.
Citing Iran's commercial counselor in Doha, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported that the resumption was achieved by the coordination of the Iranian Embassy and relevant Qatari departments.
The United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Tehran and other Iranian cities on Feb. 28. Iran retaliated with strikes on Israel and other regional countries hosting U.S. assets, including Qatar.
Tehran and Washington signed an interim deal last month, marking the end of hostilities after a four-month conflict, following which they have started negotiations on a final agreement, mediated by countries including Qatar.
