Typhoon Bavi is bringing strong winds and rain to Yuhuan, in east China's Zhejiang Province, on Saturday, with rough seas and waves crashing along the coast.
The city raised its emergency response to the highest level on Friday night and tightened risk controls.
Video from the Huaneng Cangnan offshore wind farm in Wenzhou on Saturday morning shows worsening conditions, with sustained winds of 27.6 m/s and gusts up to 31.6 m/s. Waves top 4.5 meters, and the camera shakes under heavy rain. Equipment currently remains stable. All turbines are in typhoon mode, with staff monitoring around the clock.
At the Huaneng Yuhuan plant in Taizhou, strong winds and rain are also hitting. All Huaneng facilities in Zhejiang are on typhoon alert, with safety checks, equipment reinforcement, and emergency staffing. Outdoor work has stopped. The plants are ready to ensure stable power supply during the storm.
