Oman's Maritime Security Center said on Tuesday that a crude oil tanker, which caught fire in its engine room after being attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, was being towed to an Omani port, with two people on board still missing.

In a statement, the center said the the Panama-flagged El Gaia or Algaya was attacked northeast of Oman's Musandam Governorate on the southern shore of the Strait of Hormuz. Oman's Royal Navy has evacuated 23 crew members from the tanker and provided them with necessary medical assistance.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement Monday that the oil tanker exploded and caught fire after striking a naval mine while attempting to pass through a restricted zone south of the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement said that Iran had previously warned about the dangers of "illegal shipping routes," and that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran's control and is in a "blockaded state."

The United States denied Iran's account. U.S. Central Command said in a post Monday on social media that the Panama-flagged tanker was hit by an Iranian missile last month and rendered inoperable. Last weekend, when the tanker sat in Omani coastal waters, Iran again attacked it with a drone, it said.

The U.S. side accused Iran of obstructing commercial shipping in the Strait with disinformation and intimidation.

Le Centre de sécurité maritime d’Oman a déclaré mardi qu’un pétrolier, dont la salle des machines avait pris feu après avoir été attaqué dans le détroit d’Ormuz, était en cours de remorquage vers un port omanais, deux personnes à bord étant toujours portées disparues.

Dans un communiqué, le centre a indiqué que le navire El Gaia, ou Algaya, battant pavillon panaméen, avait été attaqué au nord-est du gouvernorat omanais de Moussandam, sur la rive sud du détroit d’Ormuz. La marine royale d’Oman a évacué 23 membres d’équipage du pétrolier et leur a prodigué l’assistance médicale nécessaire.

Lundi, le Corps des gardiens de la révolution islamique d’Iran a déclaré dans un communiqué que le pétrolier avait explosé et pris feu après avoir heurté une mine navale alors qu’il tentait de traverser une zone interdite au sud du détroit d’Ormuz.

Le communiqué précise que l’Iran a déjà mis en garde contre les dangers des "routes maritimes illégales", et que le détroit d’Ormuz restait sous le contrôle de l’Iran et se trouvait dans un "état de blocus".

Les États-Unis ont rejeté la version iranienne. Le Commandement central des États-Unis a déclaré lundi dans un message publié sur les réseaux sociaux que le pétrolier battant pavillon panaméen avait été touché par un missile iranien le mois dernier et rendu hors d'usage. Le week-end dernier, alors que le pétrolier se trouvait dans les eaux côtières omanaises, l’Iran l’a de nouveau attaqué avec un drone, a-t-il ajouté.

La partie américaine a accusé l’Iran d’entraver la navigation commerciale dans le détroit par la désinformation et l’intimidation.

أعلن مركز الأمن البحري العُماني، يوم الثلاثاء/ 15 سبتمبر الجاري، أن ناقلة نفط خام، اشتعلت فيها النيران في غرفة محركاتها إثر تعرضها لهجوم في مضيق هرمز، يجري سحبها إلى ميناء عُماني، ولا يزال شخصان في عداد المفقودين.

وأوضح المركز في بيان أن ناقلة النفط "إلغايا" التي ترفع علم بنم تعرضت لهجوم في شمال شرقي محافظة مسندم العُمانية، على الشاطئ الجنوبي لمضيق هرمز. وقد قامت البحرية السلطانية العُمانية بإجلاء 23 من أفراد طاقم الناقلة، وقدمت لهم الرعاية الطبية اللازمة.

وذكر الحرس الثوري الإيراني، في بيان يوم الاثنين، أن ناقلة نفط انفجرت واشتعلت فيها النيران بعد اصطدامها بلغم بحري أثناء محاولتها عبور منطقة محظورة بجنوب مضيق هرمز.

وأكد البيان أن إيران كانت قد حذرت سابقا من مخاطر "الممرات الملاحية غير الشرعية"، مضيفا أن مضيق هرمز لا يزال تحت سيطرة إيران ويخضع لحصار كامل.

ونفت الولايات المتحدة مزاعم إيران. وذكرت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية في منشور على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي يوم الثلاثاء أن ناقلة النفط التي ترفع علم بنما تعرضت لهجوم صاروخي إيراني الشهر الماضي، ما أدى إلى تعطيلها، مردفة أن إيران هاجمت الناقلة مجددا بطائرة مسيرة خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع، بينما كانت راسية في المياه الساحلية العُمانية.

ووصفت واشنطن ادعاء إيران بأنه مثال على الأكاذيب وأساليب الترهيب الهادفة إلى عرقلة الملاحة التجارية في مضيق هرمز.

Морской центр безопасности Омана 15 сентября заявил, что супертанкер Algaya, в машинном отделении которого возник пожар после атаки в Ормузском проливе, отбуксирован в оманский порт, при этом два члена экипажа числятся пропавшими без вести.

В заявлении центра говорится, что судно подверглось атаке в акватории Ормузского пролива к северо-востоку от полуострова Мусандам Омана. Экстренные службы Омана эвакуировали 23 членов экипажа с танкера и оказали им необходимую медицинскую помощь, сообщил центр.

Согласно заявлению, продолжаются поиски двух членов экипажа, которые числятся пропавшими без вести.

Напомним, что днем ранее Иран заявил, что супертанкер Algaya загорелся в результате подрыва на минах при попытке пройти через Ормузский пролив, однако США опровергли это заявление, утверждая, что танкер загорелся после атаки БПЛА.

El Centro de Seguridad Marítima de Omán informó el martes que un petrolero, cuya sala de máquinas se incendió tras sufrir un ataque en el estrecho de Ormuz, estaba siendo remolcado hacia un puerto omaní, mientras dos personas a bordo permanecían desaparecidas.

La entidad detalló a través de un comunicado que la embarcación identificada como "El Gaia" o "Algaya", con bandera de Panamá, fue atacada al noreste de la provincia de Musandam, en Omán, en la costa sur del estrecho de Ormuz. La Armada Real de Omán evacuó a 23 tripulantes del petrolero y les prestó asistencia médica.

El petrolero explotó y se incendió tras chocar contra minas navales, cuando intentaba atravesar el estrecho de Ormuz por una ruta "prohibida" al sur de esta vía navegable, dijo el lunes el Cuerpo de los Guardianes de la Revolución Islámica (CGRI) de Irán en un comunicado.

El fin de semana pasado, cuando el buque se encontraba en aguas costeras de Omán, Irán volvió a atacarlo con un dron, agregó.

Washington calificó la afirmación de Irán como un ejemplo de mentiras e intimidación destinadas a obstaculizar el transporte marítimo comercial en el estrecho.
